Structure of Bangladesh



Jatia sangsad



 Jatia Sangsad (National Assembly) is vested with legislative powers of the Republic .Jatia Sangsad consists of 345 member  elected in accordance with the law from single territorial constituences through direct election.The member of Jatia Sangsad are designated as member of Parliament (MPs).




  Farruk siyar Mosque




Farruk Syar Mosque,also called ‘Labag Shahi Mosque’ is located within a few yards of the southern gate of the Labagh Fort at Dhaka.This is the largest Mughal mosque in Bangladesh,built by Prince Farruk Siyar between 1703 and 1706



Chameli House






The English cottage tye building was constructed during the early eighteen century as the residence for the British bachelor officials in Dhaka.The building now house the CIRDAP office near the Dhaka University science campus.


Ahsan Manzil


Ahsan manzil is situated at Kurmitali of Dhaka on the bank of the Buriganga.It was the residential palace and the kachari of the Nawab of Dhaka.


 

Baitul Mukarram Mosque



Baitul Mukarram is the National Mosque of Bangladesh.Its construction began on 27 january 1960,and has been going on in phases.The design of the mosque reflects the architecture of the architecture of the period as can be seen from the use of a white and almost eube-foam for the main building is eight storied and 99 feet high from the ground level.


China Bangla Friendship Confrence center


Bangladesh China-Bangla Friendship conference center is situated at Sher e Bsanglanagar,Dhaka.The  conference center was constructed with the technical and financial co operation of China.




National Musuem



Museum has been defined by the 10th General Assembly of ICOM (1974) as a nonprofit making ,permanent instution in the service of society and of  its development and open to the public ,which acquires,conserve ,researches,communicates,and exhibits,for purpose of study ,education and enjoyment ,material evidence of man and his environment.






Musa Khan Mosque




Musa Khan Mosque is located on the western side of the Shaidullah Hall of Dhaka University .A high valuted plinth with a three-domed mosque above and the grave of Musa Khan to its northeast comprise the mosque complex of Musa Khan





Kamalapur Railway Station



Railway appeared first in Bangladesh in 1854.Kamalapur Railway station is the largest and modern station in Bangladesh.It was shifted from Phulbaria to Kamalapur in late 1950s.The new station was opened to trafficon 1 May 1968.the station building is a marvel of architecture hyaving canopies of hyperbolic-paraboloid shell structure.


 




Lalbag Fort 




An incomplete Mughal palace fotres at Dhaka on the river Buriganga in the south western part of the old city.The river has now gone further south and flows at quite a distance from the fort.




Curzon hall



Curzon hall meant to be a town hall.was named after Lord Curzon,the viceroy of India,who laid its foundation in 1904.It was used as apremise of Dhaka College.After the  establishment of Dhaka University in 1921,it became part of the University’s science section and continues as such.

Husaini Dalan




Husaini Dalan is aShiite shrine in the old part of the city of Dhaka ,attributed to the Mughal Period ..It is a common practice among the Shia community to build edifices to commemorate the martyrdom of Al Husain (R)






 Kartalab Khan Mosque






Kartalab khan’s Mosque is situated in the Begum Bazar areab in old Dhaka,which was built by Diwan Murshid Quli Khan alias Kartab Khan in 1701-1704.It is also known as the “Begum Bazar Mosque”
